Their approach to recovery is a blend of holistic medicine and western medicine, along with 12-Step facilitation. Tranquility Woods believes that drugs and alcohol are not the root cause of addiction, but instead that there is an underlying problem that causes clients to self-medicate. At Tranquility Woods, a cornerstone of their program is 1-on-1 sessions. Clients receive 4 to 5 hours of individual therapy each week. Tranquility Woods develops personalized plans for treatment. They use a blend of therapies such as equine therapy, experiential therapy, group and individual therapy, massage therapy. and family counseling., dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and family counseling.
