Established in 2012, Roots Recovery has been a critical part of the sober living community in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They specialize in the treatment of substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions. Roots Recovery uses a holistic, strengths-based approach that is ingrained in 12-Steps facilitation. They provide day treatment, outpatient services, and gender-specific sober living homes. Day treatment, or a PHP, is similar to inpatient treatment, except that clients are able to return to the comfort of a home at the end of the day. The IOP program allows clients the freedom to work while being in treatment. Sober living homes are provided for clients who need a longer stay. The homes are designed with comfort in mind. They accommodate 19 men, and 9 women in several gender-specific old-fashioned style houses with beautiful wood floors and a fireplace. Roots Recovery offers highly individualized treatment and a vast array of treatment therapies that include, CBT, DBT, Life Skills, group therapy, family counseling, and mediation and mindfulness. For young adults who want to pursue their newfound sobriety in a highly structured and supportive environment, this is a great setting. Roots Recovery is accredited by CARF and accepts most private insurance.
