Founded
1985

This nonprofit residential treatment program serves women ages 18–25 recovering from substance use, including alcohol and opioids. The program addresses co-occurring mental health and trauma-related challenges using a structured and appropriate model. Clients actively pursue recovery while developing life and job skills in a supportive, youth-focused setting. The Pegasus House uses motivational interviewing (MI) and trauma-informed therapy to meet clients where they are in recovery. Daily schedules include group and individual counseling, relapse prevention, anger management, and tobacco cessation. Clients may access medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with suboxone, methadone, or vivitrol, along with education and ongoing recovery planning. Residents live in a safe, structured setting with shared rooms, community meals, and indoor spaces for group activities and art therapy. Outdoor areas include space for volleyball and basketball. The program supports daily routines and encourages social and recreational engagement as part of recovery. Aftercare planning begins at admission, supporting residents in transitioning to independence and self-sufficiency after discharge.
