Located in the gorgeous countryside just outside of Quito, Ecuador, Pathways of Hope offers a truly unique sober living experience. Kasa Speranza means “house of hope”, and it's here that 7 residents can partake in an experiential model that has deep roots in 12-Step philosophy. As an extended care program, Pathways of Hope focuses on spiritual renewal, the 12-Steps, and deepening clients’ recovery experience. They do not offer detox or primary addiction care, rather, aftercare through an immersive experience in nature and wellness. Pathways of Hope provides a wholly unique extended care program, called 7-7-7*. In it, clients stay 7 weeks in 7 different locations in Ecuador, working through the 12-Steps and following the Minnesota/Hazelden model. Limited to only 7 guests at a time, guests experience a deep spiritual and emotional renewal, plus the benefits of a culinary expert and a guided exercise coach. Each location treats guests to luxury and comfort, with stunning nature and scenery. At one location, a unique experience with an Otavalo wise and trusted shaman enhances Pathways’ spiritual week, connecting guests with sacred places and their inner spirit. Each week, guests explore their location with days intertwining teachings and recreation. Clients can journey with Pathways of Hope 4 times a year, 7 weeks each. Natural practices and 12-Step healing connect clients to their Higher Power, teach resilience, and pass along tools to use in their futures of sobriety. Every aspect of their 7-7-7 program caters to healing and completion, even the name. Connecting to ancient beliefs and spiritual renewal, 7 represents completion across a variety of cultures and religions. For Pathways of Hope, 7 represents deep healing, renewal, and hope. Pathways of Hope is a family-run passion, led by a husband, their main counsellor with 30 years experience, and wife, the house manager with years of experience, and a team of professionals in the recovery field. Additionally, one of their two sons creates gourmet meals, while the other offers guests physical fitness training. Guidance through the 12-Steps and an in-depth focus on recovery tools, plus seeing stunning locations across Ecuador, helps each guest renew hope in their recovery by giving them unique tools and experiences that will be theirs for life.
