Newport Academy’s OCD program treats obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety conditions, including agoraphobia, panic disorders, social anxiety, and trichotillomania. Teens reside in gender-specific homes and receive academic support during treatment with on-staff teachers and tutors. Newport Academy also involves family in recovery with family therapy and continued communication. Newport Academy’s OCD treatment revolves around exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP). An initial psychiatric evaluation guides treatment and determines which medications may alleviate symptoms. Teens and their parents receive psychoeducation on OCD and family therapy to heal as a whole. Newport Academy provides on-site academic support with an equipped school room, on-staff teachers, and tutors. They’re accredited by the Joint Commission and accept most private insurance providers.
