Founded in 1989, Narconon New Life Retreat is a non-profit treatment center that specializes in alcohol and drug non-medical detox. Narconon believes that addiction is not an incurable disease, but rather that addiction is not for life. Narconon’s program is unique in their approach with a drug-free withdrawal, a new life detoxification, and the final component of learning life skills that people will need to remain drug-free. Accommodations are all shared and include a luxury cabin that can fit 45 residents, large walk-in bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs. Other amenities include a recreation room with a pool table and a pinball machine. On their campus, there is a gym that has a sauna, exercise room with free weights and cardio equipment. Outdoors there is a pool and an outdoor seating area. The treatment approach is Religious-based, Holistic and Non 12-Step. Residents have a private chef that prepares healthy meals and snacks throughout the day. Family involvement is vital to the success of recovery; therefore Narconon New Life Retreat offers counseling both over the phone and in person to show the family how to support a loved one during and after treatment.
