Founded
2008

Harmony Recovery was founded in 1969 by a group of men that wanted to help others who were struggling with alcoholism. Since then, Harmony Recovery has expanded and is nestled on 43 acres of land in the Rocky Mountains just outside Estes Park, Colorado. Harmony Recovery offers residential treatment programs, medical evaluation and detox, recovery support groups and programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and a family program for men, women, and young adults. Therapies used during these programs are evidence-based, bio-psycho-social, and include 12-step facilitation. The residential treatment program is gender-specific, with men and women living and receiving treatment in separate facilities. The primary therapy is group based, and clients can attend group sessions in the mornings as afternoons are set aside for educational offerings and weekly meetings with primary therapists. Harmony Recovery is accredited by CARF. They accept most insurance providers, including Medicaid and are in-network with most companies. Harmony Recovery is a non-profit organization and receives donations for a scholarship fund to help with some of the costs of admission. Harmony takes pride in adapting to the social and moral trends within the recovery community. Through evidence-based care, Harmony aims to provide clients with the tools needed for ongoing recovery. Harmony Recovery is set in the Rocky Mountains and has a modern cabin vibe. They provide shared gender-specific accommodations for men and women. The clients have access to many hiking trails and walking trails. Harmony Recovery is LGBTQ+ friendly and has special groups and meetings. They have an on-site kitchen staff that prepares 3 meals a day and can accommodate nutritional needs. The maximum occupancy is 80 beds. Harmony's setting plays a role in the recovery process, allowing for renewal and grounding to help clients learn to rely on the strength that comes from surrender.
