Greater Family Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare, most private insurance, and offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program for uninsured and underinsured clients. No one will be turned away based on inability to pay. A master’s level licensed clinical social worker provides therapy services at Greater Family Health Hanover Park, taking a client-centered and trauma-informed approach. Clients participate in motivational interviewing (MI) and solution-focused therapy, aiming for positive change for concerns like substance use, anger, anxiety, interpersonal skills, stress, trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. Psychiatric services are not offered in person at this location, but clients can participate in virtual visits. Providers work with clients to evaluate psychiatric needs, manage and monitor medication, and help ensure that clients are educated about their medications. Greater Family Health integrates medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using Suboxone or Vivitrol with individual counseling and medication management as part of a holistic approach to treating opioid use.
