Decision Point is a dual diagnosis treatment center that specializes in substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions. Decision Point understands there is no one-size-fits-all approach to recovery. They offer extended 45-90 day residential treatment along with a variety of specialty programs that include intensive outpatient Telehealth, a self-defense program, academic and career counseling, an adventure and recovery program, enrichment activities, life skills development and relapse prevention. At the heart of Decision Point is adventure therapy. Clients will engage in life changing activities geared toward addiction recovery such as rock climbing, zip lining, backpacking, canoeing, and wilderness expeditions. Learning how to have fun while sober is also emphasized while in the program, and clients will be able to engage in yoga sessions, Tai Chi, and daily fitness at the gym. Decision Point respects the 12-Steps of AA but also offers non-12-Step alternatives for those desiring a different path to recovery. A client’s treatment plan may include a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-specific therapy, breathwork and meditation, eye movement therapy (EMDR), relaxation, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Decision Point is located just north of Prescott, Arizona where the high desert meets the mountain forests. The area is known to have a mild climate and an abundance of recreational activities. The living quarters are detached to the clinical facility. Clients stay in 2-bedroom, gender-specific apartments that provide a comfortable atmosphere. Clients shop for their own meals with guidance from a nutritionist. Decision Point is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
