This center helps women and nonbinary adults in Sonoma County recover from substance use in a safe, caring place. The center offers a 30 to 90 days intensive residential program with 24/7 support and clinically managed detox. Parents can bring young children, and many graduates move on to Hope Village, a nearby sober living program that offers longer-term housing. Treatment at Athena House is trauma-informed and combines proven therapies with holistic care. Clients join individual and group counseling, substance use education, and relapse prevention. They also learn life skills, practice mindfulness, and attend peer-led 12-Step meetings. Staff have lived experience and work closely with other agencies to support family reunification and healing. The campus was fully rebuilt in 2023 and includes a main residence with shared kitchens and living spaces. Peri House is a cozy studio for mothers with children under five. Amenities include a private outdoor space, garden, gym/yoga area, pickleball court, and kids’ play structure, offering comfort, community, and space to grow in recovery.
