Absolute Awakenings uses various evidence-based and holistic therapies to offer a comprehensive treatment experience, emphasizing their focus on addressing primary mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more. Absolute Awakenings provides initial medical and psychiatric evaluations and ongoing clinical assessments, focusing on primary mental health conditions alongside addiction treatment. They connect clients to detox services before starting treatment at Absolute Awakenings when needed. In their day treatment program, clients attend treatment 5+ days a week, for 6-8 hours daily. In intensive outpatient, clients attend 3-5 days weekly for 10-20 hours total. Their general outpatient program welcomes clients once or twice a week for continuous support, therapy, and check-ins. The amount of time in each program and therapy schedule depends on each client’s needs, with particular attention to mental health needs. Absolute Awakenings uses multiple evidence-based therapies to help clients heal from addiction and its underlying causes, with a significant focus on primary mental health disorders. These therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Gestalt therapy, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing techniques. Clients attend group, 1:1, and family therapy throughout treatment. Absolute Awakenings’ experienced staff includes a psychologist, licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, therapists, psychiatric nurse, case managers, clinical hypnotherapist, and a yoga/meditation instructor. Absolute Awakenings addresses mental health disorders, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions to reach the root cause of addiction. They treat depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma/PTSD, ADHD/ADD, and schizophrenia. Their trauma-informed care helps create a safe space for addressing trauma and grief. Absolute Awakenings also offers a robust array of holistic services, including hypnotherapy led by a clinical hypnotherapist, art and music therapy, daily meditation/mindfulness, yoga, muay thai, and pet therapy.
